System Administrator

We are looking for a highly energetic and self-motivated database and system administrator who would be a key member of our team, responsible for planning, executing the set-up of our products, the maintenance, upgrade and management of our software, hardware and networks, training and support of our clients.

Responsibilities
– Implement the solution at our data centers and at client sites
– Responsible for the setup, maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of database systems, computer systems, servers, cloud systems and virtualization
– Support our teams and clients’ implementations
– Work and coordinate with the organization several development and technical centers
– Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness to the clients’ requests
– Client interface as needed for any of the following: implementation or upgrade, problem resolution, enhancements, specialized configurations, training, pre and post-sales support
– Address technical questions and resolve customer technical issues and concerns.
– Develop and deliver customer training, both onsite and remote
– Master the capabilities of the system and advise customers on how to most effectively use the solution, including modifying customers’ existing processes, procedures, work-flow, forms and content
– Provide documentation and technical specifications for planning and implementing new systems or upgrades of existing systems
– Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
– Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance
– Build database systems of high availability and quality in accordance to requirements
– Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity
– Monitor operating system, servers and database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
– Your goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently

– Database, network administration, and system administration experience
– System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus
– Working knowledge of cloud, virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
– Experience with scripting and automation tools
– Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding
– Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third party tools
– Familiarity with programming languages API
– Good knowledge of SQL
– Be a self-starter; able to work productively with minimal supervision.
– Able to provide support outside regular business hours.

Languages:
– Fluent in English
– Fluent in Arabic
– French is a plus
– Other languages are an advantage

Education:
University graduate with System Administration, IT Engineering, MIS or equivalent
