The Senior Technical Support Engineer (System Engineer) – Cybersecurity is responsible for providing advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and solutions for cybersecurity systems and infrastructures. This role involves working closely with customers, internal teams, and vendors to resolve complex security-related technical issues while ensuring optimal system performance and compliance with security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert-level technical support for cybersecurity products and solutions, including firewalls, endpoint security, SIEM, IAM, and network security solutions.
Diagnose and troubleshoot security incidents, system failures, and vulnerabilities.
Implement security patches, updates, and configurations to maintain a secure IT environment.
Assist clients with security policies, best practices, and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with pre-sales, project, and development teams to enhance security solutions.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and provide long-term solutions to recurring issues.
Document technical solutions, knowledge base articles, and support processes.
Mentor junior engineers and provide training on cybersecurity technologies.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in cybersecurity technical support or system engineering.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity tools, protocols, and frameworks.
Experience with firewall configurations, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint security solutions.
Familiarity with SIEM, IAM, cloud security, and network security principles.
Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CCNP Security, or equivalent are a plus.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
